A Range Rover Classic is one of the great shapes, wrapped around running gear that rarely deserves it. Joshua's is being put right the hard way: a chassis-up restomod built around a supercharged V8, with everything under the body renewed so the classic outline sits on a driveline that can actually back it up. This build is still in progress.
The objective
Keep everything right about how a Classic looks and fix everything wrong about how they usually run, modern power and reliability under a silhouette left exactly as it should be.
Chassis up
The build is being done from the chassis out. The rolling chassis has gone back together with new springs and dampers and polyurethane bushes throughout, so the platform is sorted before the body goes back on. Nothing underneath is being carried over just because it still turns.
The heart
At the centre of it is a supercharged V8, the power this shape always wanted and never came with. The driveline is being built around it so the finished car has modern torque and manners under a body that still looks like a Classic should.

Still on the bench. The chassis and driveline are the current focus, with the supercharged V8 going in before the body returns. We will update this build as it comes together.
